IT professionals of Nepal

Aha!!
"over-hyped" IT professionals of Nepal

Everyday I see many of my colleagues and friends in any software company talking in a similar tone and language -> "IT/Software $ucks". They all have same problems --> "What nonsense and useless job is this", "Why don't they send me Onsite", "I have no social life", "My Boss is sick", etc etc... get the drift? Frustration it is.

I see that by every hour of the passing day, the number of people belonging to the "frustrated group" is increasing in every BIG or SMALL company which follows the funda of Outsourcing Process. You'll always find a group of 4-5 folks in the smoking zone or having tea and "cribbing" over these same things over n over again. Finally, they come back to the desk, slog for 12 hrs a day and the same routine is followed the next day as well!!

I keep myself engaged in many extra activities apart from my project work, like conducting games, quizzes in office; moderating this page; etc etc. And I do keep a balance between all the things and feel happy n satisfied at the end of the day. Agreed that many of us don't get into good projects or as per our liking but where does this frustration lead us to? How many of us have ever tried to change things around? Some of the companies have grown so BIG that it is very demanding for them to satisfy the demands of all the employees. So instead of blaming the company, you should take the action so get your life back on track and feel content at the end of the day. Nobody will come and look that you are happy in your job!

Each one might be having a different scenario/work environment and all this also adds to this frustration. I sometimes worry about the impact of so many "unsatisfied professionals" working together for a company. What do you all say?

It's a truth that my friend speaks about being miles and miles away from the world of proffesionalism. In fact! Everyone loves being in a proffesional life. None dare to live alone in this world without having a single job.

Every child dreams of jumping into the technical field. The field that is regarded to have the biggest potential in the world. It's not a coincidence that everyone dreams to be a part of the field. Even though being amongst the best in the field, the clouds of frustration hovers each and every passouts - the honoured graduates.

In this world of possibilities, most of live in the life of agony not to have been a part of even a single possibility. And ultimately, most of the so-called best manpower of the earth get declined to an alternate job, to an alternate field, to an alternate way of thinking, to an alternate way of living, and so on; none of which makes any sense.

The extra activities do make no sense regarding the investment in study if we count at the time and money. The word "unsatisfied profession(al)s" do speak a lot more than itself is. A company that has a lot of unsatisfied professionals can even reach to an even better state than it is in the present. It's simply because the word "unsatisfied professionals" refer to the fact that its employees can be in far more better position than they are in the present. If the company can read their feelings, then the company can possibly find way to satisfy those peoples out there. Once they are satisfied, they can do a far better thing; which ultimately leads to the progress of the company. Mind it!!! Every COMPANY OWNERS!!!

At last, best of luck to all the "OVER-HYPED" IT PROFESSIONALS of NEPAL - including myself - for a better job.

True pictures of what happen when sometimes people are too ambitious and when there are too many people than the nation can actually afford in the same sector. Beside whinging, these professionals can actually look forward on what can be achieved in this IT sector as I suppose this world has not still seen the real IT phenomenon one can even envisage.

In India alone, there are literally thousands of people sulking half the day at their desk about non-professionalism, but they do need to take their job more than just a job and be part of the organization where they shape the future of the company to their likings.
